Abstract

This article examines how ClassPoint, an AI-driven educational tool, can transform traditional PowerPoint presentations into interactive and engaging learning experiences in language classrooms. Although PowerPoint is widely used to facilitate communication and interaction, it has been criticized for sometimes discouraging active learning. ClassPoint addresses this concern by integrating interactive features that promote active learning, peer interaction, and student engagement. The effectiveness of ClassPoint in this study was demonstrated through three key applications: Quick Polls, Word Cloud activities, and AI Quiz generator. These interactive features are designed to cater to diverse learning styles and needs, thereby fostering a socially collaborative learning environment. The three cases highlight several benefits of using ClassPoint, including reduced student anxiety, increased participation and interaction, and the creation of a dynamic learning environment. The adoption of educational technology like ClassPoint is crucial for bridging the gap between traditional teaching methods and modern pedagogical practices. By leveraging such technologies, educators can create dynamic and engaging learning experiences that encourage students to learn actively and effectively. The article advocates for the embrace of emerging technologies to enhance educational outcomes, emphasizing their role in fostering an active, inclusive, and data-informed learning.
