Abstract

The exhibition showcased the design from Design school staff and students. One of the exhibits won the Design Shanghai Picks award.

"‌The Flowing Zen Garden‌" draws inspiration from nature, where rippling patterns on the floor and a 3D-printed art wall resembling splashing water define the spatial flow. The faint rippled texture on the background wall enhances the ambiance, immersing visitors in a digitalized Oriental garden. Under dynamic lighting, the water-wave texture of the art wall reflects ethereal light and shadow, blending the real and the virtual to create a transcendent Zen-like atmosphere. The entire space, through shifting light and form, unveils the poetic beauty of nature merging with the digital, reinterpreting the modern allure of Eastern aesthetics.

‌Design Shanghai 2025‌ (June 4–7, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center) showcased ‌600+ global brands‌ across four curated zones, blending cutting-edge design with human-centric innovation. Highlights included AI-driven furniture, sustainable materials, and cross-disciplinary forums, attracting ‌76,000+ visitors‌ to explore the fusion of Eastern aesthetics and futuristic creativity.
