    Abstract

The oversupply of electric vehicles (EVs) in China has led to a growing retired EV battery recycling crisis. Existing government regulations and industrial innovations are inadequate to address this issue, as the growing demand of the EVs is aggravating the issue. Consumer-centric scientific innovation-based policy design for efficient recycling and refining is necessary to transform this problem into an opportunity.
