Abstract
Grounded Theory is a qualitative research method that uses a systematic set ofprocedures to develop an inductively derived Grounded Theory about a phenomenon. Ithas made an important contribution to qualitative research methodology. It has been usedin combination with other research methods to provide powerful ways for handlingresearch data and analysis. This chapter gives a brief description of Grounded Theory andidentifies some potential problems based on some criticisms of qualitative researchersagainst Grounded Theory.
