A Compact Tri-Band Flexible CPW-Fed Antenna for IoMT Applications

Abstract

This paper presents a compact tri-band flexible antenna with coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed. The overall size is 22.04 × 17× 1.5 mm3, covering one ISM band (5.8 GHz), one sub-6G (3.5 GHz) band, and one 6G band (6.425-7.125 GHz) identified by the World Radiocommunication Conference 2023. The operation bandwidths are 11.4% in the sub-6G band and 26.9% in the others respectively. Radiation patterns are omni-directional and the simulated realised gains are 1.95 dBi, 1.82 dBi, and 3.77 dBi at 3.5 GHz, 5.8 GHz, and 7 GHz. The robust performance of the proposed antenna suits application in the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) applications with support for 6G communications.
