A Cloud-Based Remote Management System for Disinfection Robots: Integrating Alibaba Cloud IoT and WeChat Mini-Program

Disinfection robots, as part of the prevention and control measures, are of great importance in the post-pandemic area. Traditional disinfection robots have faced challenges in manual operation risks and human-machine coexistence. This paper proposes a cloud-based remote management system using Alibaba Cloud IoT and WeChat Mini-Program. The system employs the MQTT protocol for real-time data transmission, with Alibaba Cloud handling device authentication, data storage and rule-based message routing. A WeChat Mini-Program serves as the user interface, enabling operators to monitor robot status (battery level, disinfectant volume) and control UV lamps/sprayers remotely. The experimental results demonstrate an average network delay of 1.989 seconds and operational prevision of 98%. The system design provided a low-cost and scalable solution for reducing infection risks in public health scenarios, enabling safe and efficient disinfection operations in hospitals, schools, and public buildings.
