Abstract
The Future Design Exhibition, jointly organized by the China Industrial Design Association and Qingtai International Industrial Design Village, officially commenced on July 26th and will remain open until August 26th. The exhibition is co-curated by the National Business Headquarters of the China Industrial Design Association, Zhejiang University, Soochow University, Shandong University of Art & Design, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, and Fulangba Software Technology, featuring outstanding works from the National Young Designers Competition and the China Cultural Office Supplies Innovation Design Competition. It highlights the innovation and creativity of the new generation of young designers and reflects the forward-looking trends in future design development. The exhibits from the School of Design at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University are guided by the principles of social responsibility, sustainability, emerging technologies, and critical design practices. These projects address both regionally specific Chinese issues and broader global concerns. In each project, students are required to identify problems, analyze potential user groups, develop and test prototypes, and ultimately refine their concepts for presentation to a diverse audience. The design ideas presented in the exhibition were conceived and developed entirely by the students, who have played a central role in shaping the final solutions on display.
