城市复兴下的旧城空间与景观重塑: 英国谢菲尔德火车站改建项目的启示

文章回顾了城市复兴理念及常用策略,指出作为城市大门的火车站在城市复兴进程中所起的重要作用。并以英国谢菲尔德火车站改建项目为例,详述了通过设计重塑旧城空间与景观,并在传承城市文脉的基础上,与经济转型、文化引领、创新驱动等城市复兴策略相融合的路径与方法,以期能为国内同类型城市复兴项目提供一些设计思路上的启发。

This paper reviews the concept of urban renaissance and some relevant planning strategies. It aims to explore the impact of a railway station, often known as the gateway of a city, on the city and its renaissance. Based on a case study of the Station Gateway Project in Sheffield, England, the paper provides an insight into this issue and explores ways of redesigning the public space and landscape and of incorporating such project into the urban renaissance through economic transition, culture-led and innovation-led renaissance and so on. It is expected that some findings from this study would inspire urban planners and designers working on similar projects in China.
