Abstract
The development of global competence helps students acquire and construct knowledge, develop transferable skills, and shape their values, thereby fostering a sense of global citizenship and sustainability awareness. Serving as an essential portal for understanding cultural diversity and as the linguistic medium for evaluating global competence, English is profoundly significant for the future advancement of university students. Therefore, college English instruction should not only focus on measurable progress in knowledge and skills but also, from a humanistic perspective, prioritize the nurturing of attitudes and values.
