Research on signal interference between Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) and Time Division Duplex (TDD) networks in overlapping coverage areas

    Project: Internal Research Project

    Project Details

    Fund Amount (RMB)

    7,000,000

    Description

    • Developed a robust algorithm that significantly reduced cross-network interference, enhancing the stability and efficiency of LTE-A deployments.
    • Results were formally documented and submitted as part of Bell Labs’ 4G network protocol standard proposal.
    • The validated methodology was incorporated into Bell Labs’ internal portfolio of advanced LTE-A solutions, informing subsequent research and development.

This project provided a technical breakthrough for LTE-A deployment, addressing a fundamental barrier to the coexistence of heterogeneous mobile networks. By contributing directly to protocol standardization efforts, it ensured that Bell Labs played a key role in shaping the global 4G ecosystem. The work also strengthened my foundation in wireless communications research and standardization processes, experience that continues to inform my later efforts in AI-driven communications and network technologies.
