    Description

From 2012 to 2014, I served as Principal Investigator and Project Leader for the China National Science and Technology Major Project 5-3, titled “IoT: Web-Based Ubiquitous Service Environment Architecture, Key Technologies, and Demonstration Validation.” The project aimed to design future-oriented IoT architectures, achieve breakthroughs in core technologies, and accelerate the transition of research outcomes into industrial applications.

    Key findings

    • Filed 30 domestic patents and 1 international patent.
    • Contributed to 2 national standards and 2 industry standards.
    • Published 16 academic papers.
    • Trained 4 PhD students and 9 Master’s students, strengthening the next generation of researchers.
    • Incubated the IoT Business Unit of Alcatel-Lucent China Software Group, which launched smart home and smart agriculture products, achieving RMB 3.3 million in sales in 2015.
This national-level project provided a systematic framework for the development of IoT architecture and key technologies in China, while also enabling the translation of scientific research into industrial applications. The outcomes supported the early growth of China’s IoT industry and established long-term influence through patents, standards, and talent development. As project leader, I gained extensive experience in end-to-end research management, cross-functional team leadership, and technology commercialization, which has continued to inform my later work in advancing AI research and industrialization.
