Description
The project was part of the EASE Project and redesigned COM261 Qualitative Research Methods to make the module more interactive, practice-oriented, and better aligned with AI-informed teaching, learning, and assessment. Students completed five staged seminar-based tasks in which they applied qualitative methods, used and critically evaluated AI tools, and gradually developed greater independence in making and justifying methodological decisions.
The project also revised assessment briefs, rubrics, AI-use declarations, and teaching materials, while producing reusable guidance and activity templates that could be adapted for other modules. Its effectiveness was tested through a student pilot workshop and expert feedback, with particular attention to responsible, transparent, reflective, and ethical AI use.
