Description
In parallel with leading Ping An’s AI strategy and key projects, I placed strong emphasis on AI talent development, viewing it as a cornerstone of the Group’s sustainable growth. My contributions in this area can be summarized across three dimensions:
First, in leadership and management training, I served as a lecturer for Ping An University’s DDI Leadership ABC program for three consecutive years, delivering courses to 150 core managers across the Group. Many of these graduates have since advanced to key technical and managerial positions within Ping An Bank, Ping An P&C, Ping An Consumer Finance, and OneConnect, thereby strengthening the Group’s internal leadership pipeline.
Second, in executive coaching and high-potential talent development, I was among the first certified corporate coaches at Ping An Technology, directly mentoring 12 high-potential employees. Several of these individuals later assumed pivotal roles at leading technology companies such as Alibaba and ByteDance, demonstrating both the competitiveness of Ping An’s talent cultivation system and the broader impact of my guidance across industries.
Finally, in integrating academia and industry, I helped establish the USTC–Ping An Technology Joint Lab for Intelligent Finance and served from 2020 to 2023 as an industry mentor for graduate students at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). In this role, I guided students in bridging research with industrial application, further strengthening collaboration between Ping An and China’s top academic institutions in AI talent training.
Through these initiatives, I contributed to building a comprehensive AI talent pipeline at Ping An—covering strategic planning, execution, technical expertise, and cross-industry mobility. More broadly, I fostered the growth and deployment of interdisciplinary AI professionals. These efforts highlight my practical experience in talent cultivation, leadership development, and academia–industry integration, aligning closely with the evaluation criteria for a Professor of Practice.
