Description
The project proceeded in two phases:
• Phase I: Foundational biomedical large model development. In collaboration with Tsinghua AIR, the team designed BioMedGPT, a large model tailored for Chinese drug development scenarios. It achieved T+1 data update cycles and improved the accuracy of generated outputs in intelligence analysis and commercial value assessment by approximately 50% compared with general-purpose models. This phase also incubated Shuimu Molecule, China’s first startup dedicated to biomedical large models, whose technology was integrated into the PharmAID platform.
• Phase II: Drug commercial value assessment. Led by Fosun Pharma’s Executive President, Dr. Xingli Wang, the team designed a framework of 14 evaluation factors for drug value, covering market analysis, pre-clinical research, clinical trial design, risk assessment, and economic benefit analysis. The system automatically generated commercialization recommendations and was applied in pipeline decision-making meetings across all of Fosun Pharma’s drug development subsidiaries.
