Project Details
Description
This international collaborative research proposal was submitted under the 2026 Glocal R&D Support Programme. The project develops a data driven framework for understanding invisible multidimensional urban density, focusing on digital, relational and temporal mechanisms that may support adaptive strategies for urban smart shrinkage. The empirical research focuses primarily on Daegu and Gyeongbuk, with international comparative research conducted in collaboration with Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University. I participated as the international research partner, contributing comparative expertise on shrinking cities, cross national theoretical validation, international research seminars and the development of joint academic outputs. The proposal was not selected for funding in the 2026 round, but the international research collaboration and related research agenda continue to be developed.
