Yidan (Elaine) currently leads initiatives in soft skills development and plays an active role in advancing global partnership engagement within IBSS, focusing on the design, delivery, and continuous enhancement of training and coaching that support students’ professional readiness and long-term career development. She also generates data-informed insights through student and employer research, translating emerging employment and skills trends into programme design to ensure training remains aligned with evolving industry expectations.

With an MBA from Lancaster University Management School, she brings a cross-disciplinary background grounded in strategic thinking, project management, learning experience design, and large-scale programme coordination.

Since 2013, Elaine has delivered over 2,400 teaching hours and facilitated more than 300 lectures and workshops. Her expertise spans training design, stakeholder collaboration, employer engagement, and project-based delivery of employability programmes.

She is a certified Career Development Practitioner with the National Career Development Association (NCDA), a certified Belbin Team Roles consultant, and holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
