Personal profile
Trained as a professional Chinese language teacher in college, Yao started teaching Chinese in the U.S. where she developed her student-centered teaching style. After the completion of postgraduate studies in Curriculum and Instruction, Yao returned to China and worked for the Academic Enhancement Centre at XJTLU where she gained valuable experience in Educational Development and Technology Enhanced Learning. Yao believes there is no better way to learn than to teach, so she decided to return to the classroom, and she now enjoys teaching international students at XJTLU very much.
