Dr. Aileen Sijia Meng holds a PhD in Film Studies, with a specialisation in Chinese cinema, from the University of Liverpool, UK. Prior to her doctorate, she gained broad experience in journalism and television production, working professionally in both China (including the Shanghai Media Group) and the UK. Her teaching and research focus on the dynamic intersections of film, society, and the cultural and creative industries.
