Personal profile

Kelvin Ke Jinde is Assistant Professor in Communication Studies at the Department of Media and Communication at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He is an award-winning creative media scholar and practitioner specialising in media and communication. 

Born in Singapore, Kelvin Ke Jinde previously taught at the Singapore Institute of Technology, Lasalle College of the Arts, and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. His research interests intersect film and video storytelling with intangible cultural heritage. As a media practitoner, his digital shorts were previously selected and screened at Berlin International Film Festival and the Chicago International Children Film Festival. He is currently an associate of the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore.

He was project leader of the artshow Noodles/Sen in 2025. (see. 江南时报网 / Jiangnan Times News Article, Suzhou Daily  or XJTLU News). He was also project leader of "Postcards from Suzhou" from 2022-2024  (see. Postcards from Suzhou: XR or this article.)
