Personal profile

Kelvin Ke Jinde is an Assistant Professor in Communication Studies in the Department of Media and Communication at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. His expertise includes strategic communication, digital content creation, and creative media practice. He is an associate of the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore.

Born in Singapore, Kelvin Ke Jinde previously taught at the Singapore Institute of Technology, Lasalle College of the Arts, and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. His creative works were previously selected and screened at Berlin International Film Festival and the Chicago International Children Film Festival. 

His work focuses on how new and emerging media technologies shape cultural memory, identity, and meaning through critical research, creative media practice, film, and public engagement.

He was the project leader of Noodles/Sen in 2025, a cross-cultural exhibition project marking the 50th anniversary of China–Thailand diplomatic relations (see. 江南时报网 / Jiangnan Times News Article, Suzhou Daily  News or XJTLU News). He also led "Postcards from Suzhou" from 2022-2024, ), an XR and multimedia exhibition project exploring Suzhou’s cultural heritage through digital storytelling and immersive media (see. He received the University Academic Excellence Award HSS (Industry Engagement Champion Award) in 2025 (see. Teaching and Learning / News).  He also received the Departmental Teaching Excellence Award in 2024.
