Personal profile

Personal profile

I am a PhD student in Economics at the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, specializing in applied microeconomics, development economics, and human capital formation. My research examines the long-term and intergenerational effects of early-life environmental shocks, particularly those related to climate, on health, education, and labor market outcomes. My work has been published in peer-reviewed economics journals, including Environment and Development Economics, the Asian Economic Journal, and The Developing Economies. Prior to starting my PhD, I worked as a consultant at the Asian Development Bank and taught econometrics at the university level in the Philippines. Currently, my research utilizes longitudinal data from the Philippines to investigate how early-life rainfall shocks shape well-being outcomes, including mental health, women empowerment, and intimate partner violence, throughout the life course.
