Biman Xie is a PhD student in Urban Planning and Design at the Design School, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU).

Her research focuses on integrating urban planning, environmental sustainability, and social equity, reflecting our commitment to innovative and inclusive solutions. With a cross-disciplinary background in Environmental Engineering and Urban Planning, she tackles the Urban Transition Challenge—navigating the balance between advancing technical efficiency through the Smart-Green agenda and fostering social inclusion via the Smart-Inclusive agenda amidst rapid smart transformation.
