Zihua (James) Liu currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at XJTLU. He is also an advisor for a private equity fund. 

He obtained his PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.Prior to his PhD, he worked as an algorithm engineer at Microsoft Online, Wind Information, and the SMU School of Computing and Information Systems.

His current research interest center on the impacts of AI on financial markets, financial analysts, and corporate disclosure. He intends to leverage his background in big data analytics (e.g. textual analysis, machine learning) to investigate the production, transmission, and economic impact of financial market information.

1)Students majoring in economics, finance, or accounting (no technical background required, but strong academic interest must be demonstrated, e.g., high GPA).
