Dr. Zhong Shuo CHEN is an Assistant Professor at the School of Intelligent Finance and Business, Entrepreneur College, Xi’an-Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He obtained his bachelor's degree in logistics management from Dalian Maritime University and his master's and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Prior to joining XJTLU, he worked as a senior consultant at Maritime Advisory SEAPI of DNV.
Dr. Chen’s research interests include maritime, shipping, transportation, alternative fuels, life cycle assessment, time series forecasting, machine learning, deep learning, logistics management, supply chain management, etc. His papers were published in top-tier transportation and engineering journals, such as Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment (TRD), Reliability Engineering & System Safety (RESS), Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (EAAI), Sustainable Cities and Society (SCS), Ocean Engineering (OE), International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (IJHE), etc.
Dr. Chen holds the fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, UK (FHEA). He serves as a committee member of the Youth Scientific & Technological Professional Committee of the China Communications and Transportation Association. He also serves as a member of the technical committee of the World Transport Convention (WTC). Dr. Chen also holds the membership of several international, regional and national associations, including International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME), Asia Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS), Systems Engineering Society of China (中国系统工程学会), China Intelligent Transportation Association (中国智能交通协会), China Highway & Transportation Society (中国公路学会), Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics (中国优选法统筹法与经济数学研究会), Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration, etc.
Dr. Chen serves as the Associate Editor of Cleaner Logistics and Supply Chain (JCR Q1) and Executive Guest Editor of TRD (JCR Q1). He also serves as an editorial board member of eight academic journals in the field of supply chain and transportation, including Highlights of Sustainability, Transportation Safety and Environment, Digital Transportation and Safety, Journal of Highway and Transportation Research and Development, Journal of Asian Scientific Research, Smart and Resilient Transportation, etc.
Dr. Chen has served as the session chair for ICONIP2023 and the international scientific committee for IAME2025 & IAME2026. He is also the reviewer for more than 20 top-tier journals such as Information Fusion, EAAI, Transport Policy, Ocean & Coastal Management, IJHE, and others.
Dr. Chen is the recipient of several awards, including the Jiangsu Provincial Double-Initiative Award (江苏省双创博士人才), the Excellent Committee Member Award from WTC, the Early-Career Researcher Award from XJTLU, and the Nanyang Award from NTU.

陈中硕博士现任西交利物浦大学产金融合学院助理教授、博士生导师,英国高等教育学会会士。他本科毕业于大连海事大学物流管理专业,随后赴新加坡南洋理工大学深造,先后获得理学硕士学位与工学博士学位。陈博士曾于DNV (Singapore) 海事咨询部门担任高级顾问,积累了丰富的行业实践经验。
陈博士的研究聚焦于绿色航运、可持续交通运输、港口管理、机器学习与时间序列预测及供应链管理等领域,已在国际期刊和学术会议发表论文20余篇。他主持及参与中新政府与国内外企业委托项目10余项,具有较强的产学研结合能力。
在学术服务方面,陈博士担任《Cleaner Logistics and Supply Chain》副主编、《Transportation Research Part D》客座编委和其他8本学术期刊编委,并长期为20余本SCI/SSCI期刊担任审稿专家。陈博士被聘任为第六、七届中国交通运输协会青年科技工作者委员会委员、世界交通运输大会第三届技术委员会委员、世界海事经济学家学会会员、亚洲神经网络学会会员及新加坡海事仲裁院会员等职务。
