I am a political scientist and an assistant professor of the Department of China Studies at Xianjiaotong-Liverpool University. My research focuses on Chinese politics at both the central and local levels. More specifically, the majority of my work deals with four subjects: (1) performance-based legitimation; (2) local implementation; (3) state-business relations; and (4) industrial policy.
