Personal profile

Dr Yunqing Xu is Senior Associate Professor at Department of Urban Planning and Design and Director for University Research Centre for Urban and Environmental Studies (UES). She obtained PhD at Oxford Brookes University, UK and joined XJTLU in 2013. Her expertise lies in sustainable and livable cities, planning and property development, land and housing, urban policies, discretionary planning and knowledge transfer. She has published 4 books and over 70 journal, book chapters, reports, policy papers and conference papers. Previous work experience includes international organisation (UN-HABITAT), university (e.g. Oxford Brookes and Northumbria), and international consultancy company (e.g. Winkworth, Zhongcheng, Zerstart). Dr Xu has developed rich experience of international research grants and has led over 30 government grant projects and government-education-industry collaborations. She serves roles as Member of International Advisory Board for the UN World Cities Report, Think Tank Expert for Construction Branch of CCPIT, China etc. She also welcomes enquiries for PhD supervision in the below areas of research interests.

徐蕴清博士现任城市规划与设计系高级副教授、博士生导师,城市与环境研究中心主任。她获得英国牛津布鲁克斯大学博士学位,并于2013年加入西交利物浦大学。她的专长在于可持续城市和宜居城市、规划和房地产开发、土地和住房、城市政策、自由裁量规划和知识转移等。她编撰出版了4本书,完成了70多份期刊文章、书籍章节、研究报告、政策论文和会议论文。之前的工作经验还包括国际组织(联合国人居署)、高校大学(如英国牛津布鲁克斯大学,英国诺桑比亚大学)和国际咨询公司(如英国温克沃斯,上海中城联行、正成房地产公司)。徐博士在国际研究基金项目方面积累了丰富经验,主导完成了30多个国内政府资助项目和政产学研合作项目。她还担任联合国世界城市报告国际咨询委员会委员、中国国际贸易促进委员会建设行业分会智库专家等。她欢迎对以下研究领域感兴趣的博士生指导计划的咨询讨论。
