Personal profile

Language Lecturer in Japanese at the Modern Languages Centre, Global Cultures and Languages Hub. Before join the Japanese Division at XJTLU, I taught Japanese as well as Chinese to beginners to intermediate-level students at Higher Education Institutes in the United States. Besides, I was the Teaching Director at a private Japanese school in Guangzhou. As a language teacher, I believe that a successful foreign language classroom should always be communication-oriented, with the goal to interact with native speakers of the target language in a real-world situation. My personal style of teaching brings contextualized and personalized activities, cultural elements, and technology into the classroom to enhance learners’ communicative abilities.
