Yuan Tian is currently the Deputy Head of the Academic Literacies Centre (ALC) at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and a Senior Language Lecturer. She previously served as a Head of Division, overseeing all EAP courses catering for Humanities and Social Sciences students and Filmmaking and TV Production Students. Having previously taught in different EAP modules for different year groups of students, she enjoyed teaching English across a variety of contexts: from general training, workplace English to XJTLU staff, business context to academic English.

Research interests

Lies in Second Language Acquisition, Sociolinguistics, Language Learning Strategies and Intercultural Communication.
