Personal profile

Dr. Ying Zhou holds a BSc in Pharmacy, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis, and a PhD in Vascular Pharmacology, followed by postdoctoral training in Mechanobiology and Microfluidics. With her interdisciplinary expertise, Dr. Zhou aims to advance our understanding of disease mechanisms, pathological remodeling, and therapeutic development.

 

 

Research interests

Dr. Zhou's current research focuses on cardiovascular diseases and longevity, where she integrates pharmacological, biomechanical, and micro/nano engineering approaches to uncover novel insights.

  • Understanding the biology/mechanobiology of the cardiovascular system
  • Studying thrombosis, angiogenesis and fibrosis in the context of wound healing
  • Harnessing the endogenous biomolecules/components or natural ingredients for targeted theranostics
