Dr. Yicheng Wang, Ph.D. (University of Liverpool), also holds a Master’s from Macquarie University and a Bachelor’s from the University of Exeter. His research centres on Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision for Business Analytics, with a particular focus on sustainability disclosure, ESG, corporate culture, and sustainable finance. His work has been published in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals, including JCR Q1 outlets.

Since joining XJTLU, Dr. Wang has secured over RMB 300,000 in external industrial funding as PI or lead contributor, working closely with multinational corporations such as Bosch on logistics digitalisation and optimisation, and with government projects such as the Suzhou ESG Disclosure Platform supporting tens of thousands of enterprises. These collaborations demonstrate his ability to translate academic expertise into industry and policy impact.

He is also recognised for innovative and agile teaching practices, having developed flagship experiential courses at XJTLU that integrate project-based learning, industry cases, and AI-enhanced pedagogy. He has received multiple awards for teaching excellence and practice sharing.

Dr. Wang is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia), evidencing both pedagogical and professional recognition. Previously, he was a lecturer at Monash University (Suzhou Campus), where he was consistently rated highly in teaching evaluations.
