Yangxu Shen is a second-year PhD student in the Department of Applied Linguistics at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and the Department of English at the University of Liverpool. Her doctoral research investigates the dynamic of L2 Willingness to Communicate and classroom talk in tertiary-level classroom settings. She is interested in individual differences in second language acquisition, research methodologies in applied linguistics, and related areas.
