Yang Liu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Art from the China Academy of Art.She furthered her education by earning a Master of Arts in Curating Contemporary Design from Kingston University in the UK and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Technologies from Virginia Tech in the USA.

Yang has accumulated a wealth of professional experience in the fields of exhibition design, 3D visualization, and museum/gallery management. Her career has seen her contribute her expertise to esteemed institutions such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the London Design Museum, as well as various art studios and galleries in Beijing and Shanghai.

Yang's areas of specialization encompass immersive environment design, mixed-media painting, and both digital and traditional exhibition design. In 2018, she orchestrated a highly successful solo parallel exhibition entitled "Renaissance of Mogao Grotto: New Digital Media in Exhibition" in the United States. She also explores the boundaries of art and design with technologies, such as using AI-generated content for digital cultural heritage preservation. Her work creates opportunities for audiences to interact with cultural treasures through strongly immersive atmospheres and interactive narrative experiences.
