Dr Xi Yang is currently an Associate Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. She received PhD degree, B.Sc. degree and M.Sc. degree with distinction from the University of Liverpool, U.K.. Her research interests lie in the field of Bayesian probabilistic approaches to machine learning, pattern recognition and deep learning. She has recently worked on Domain Generalization and Adaptation, Text-Image Synthesis, Outlier Detection,  and Medical Image Analysis.  Dr. Yang has published over 60 papers including international authoritative journals and conferences such as IEEE T- Cybernetics,  IEEE T-KDE, Pattern Recognition, CVPR, AAAI, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, etc..  Her research has received support from both government and industry, such as NSFC Young programme, and  NSFC Major-cultivation  programme. She was honored as a Jiangsu Province Innovation & Entrepreneurship Doctor in 2020 and received the Outstanding Talent in Science and Education Award in 2022.
