Will received an MFA from Yale University in sculpture and BFA in philosophy from Vassar College. Will uses sensors, mixed reality, and robotics in his artwork to elicit active participation from audiences. In 2021, Will was awarded the Henry Luce Foundation Fellowship to conduct creative research in over ten countries in Asia. Since 2017, Will has taught at the The Phillips Collection, The National Gallery of Art, Corcoran School of Art, George Mason University, Alfred University in USA and China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. Will has exhibited artwork at 6 Month Space, Yale Greene Gallery, Essex Flowers, B3 Biennial of the Moving Image, Motel, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Marinaro, Fosdick Nelson Gallery, among many others. Will recently co-curated a show on interactive artwork called “Playthings” at Alfred University’s professional gallery with Anthony Nguyễn. Will’s hobbies include playing folk instruments, experimental and electronic music, running, bike riding, free skating, and learning new languages.
