Dr. Wenjun Zhu obtained his Ph.D. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK, in 2025. Between 2016 and 2020, he worked in the automotive industry, holding positions at SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC General Motors, and Ducati China. Previously, he earned a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation (with a dual degree in Business Administration) from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2013, a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Systems (with Distinction) from the University of Edinburgh, UK, in 2015, and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2016. His research focuses on permanent magnet machines and drive systems, with close alignment to industrial needs such as transportation electrification—including electric vehicles, electric ships, and aviation motors—as well as servo systems used in industrial automation. Furthermore, his current work centers on robotic joint motors, with the goal of developing next-generation electric actuators that offer high performance.
