Dr Viet Linh Dang is an Assistant Professor (of Practice) at the School of Intelligent Finance and Business, Entrepreneur College, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). He holds a PhD in Logistics Management and has industry experience in logistics and supply chain operations.
Before joining XJTLU, he contributed to teaching and research in logistics and supply chain management at the MIT Global SCALE Network. Alongside his academic work, he held managerial roles in South Korea’s logistics sector, working with global logistics providers such as CEVA Logistics and Morrison Express to manage logistics and warehouse operations for multinational semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing companies, including Entegris, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and ASM International. He also contributed to the development of logistics solutions for B2C businesses in the fashion, cosmetics, and consumer goods sectors. In addition, he served as Korea Operations Representative at Hop Nhat International Express (HNC), where he collaborated with Hanjin International Express (eHANEX) to strengthen cross-border e-commerce logistics operations between Korea and Vietnam.
Dr Dang’s current research focuses on applying AI, machine learning, operations research, and decision science to sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management. His work covers supplier evaluation, sustainable sourcing, procurement automation, demand forecasting, warehouse operations, logistics decision-making, and port management. He has published in leading academic journals and actively presents his research at academic and professional events worldwide.
