Personal profile
Dr Tong Jiao a Senior Teaching Fellow at the School of Intelligent Finance and Business, Xi’an-Jiaotong Liverpool University. He obtained his PhD with a thesis on corporate finance from Aberystwyth University in Wales. Before joining XJTLU, Tong has worked at the Robert Gordon University in Scotland for more than 10 years as a lecturer in finance, developing and teaching a wide range of finance modules for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes accredited by professional bodies, such as the CFA Institute, ACCA and CIMA.
Tong is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Societies of the UK and China. He has been a grader for the Level III CFA Exam since 2023. Tong’s research interests include corporate finance, credit rating and bank failure/distress prediction and is a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA).
