Personal profile
Tingting Hu joined the Department of Media and Communication, Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University in 2022. She received her PhD at Macquarie University and taught at the University of Technology Sydney, University of New South Wales. Her research interest lies in digital intimacy and media technology, Asian popular culture and transmedia practices, and human-machine interaction, particularly human-to-virtual-human relationships. Her recent publications appear in Media Culture & Society, Convergence, International Journal of Culture Studies.
