Dr. Meng obtained her PhD in Film Studies, specialising in Chinese cinema, from the University of Liverpool, UK. Before pursuing her doctorate, she gained broad work experience in journalism and television production, spanning both China (including the Shanghai Media Group) and the UK. During this time, she contributed to various roles such as directing, scriptwriting, shooting, and editing. Currently, she engages in teaching and research, focusing on the captivating intersection between film and society.
