Sasan Bakhtiari received his Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008. He joined XJTLU in 2024 as an associate professor. Prior to his engagement with XJTLU, he held positions with the US Census Bureau, University of New South Wales in Australia and the Australian Department of Industry. Dr. Bakhtiari's research focuses on the microeconometrics study of business dynamics, innovation and productivity. He has published extensively on the topic in various international journals.
