I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. I obtained my PhD in Computer Animation from National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA), Bournemouth University in 2021. Before embarking on my academic career, I worked in the animation and VFX industry in technical roles, I led a technical team in 3D animation film production and also served as a pipeline technical director in the production of several Hollywood feature films. During my PhD, I focused on the application and research of graphics and computer animation techniques in surgery simulation and cognitive intelligence. My research focus and interests have consistently revolved around Cognitive Intelligence, Computer Animation, Spatial Computing, Simulation, Deep Learning, and SOTA Technologies related to CGI pipeline. I have served as a reviewer for many international conferences (e.g. ACM Siggraph, IEEE VR, CGI, CASA, WWW) and journals (e.g. TVC, CAVW, C&G, SPL, AIR). And also, I am a professional member of ACM, IEEE, MICCAI, CSIG, CAAI, ASIFA, and CSMPTE, and a committee member of CCF-CAD&CG.
项南于2021年从英国国家计算机动画中心（NCCA）获得博士学位，专业方向为计算机动画。此前，曾领导技术小组参与三维动画长片电影制作，并作为流程技术指导参与过数部好莱坞长篇特效电影的技术和算法开发制作。博士期间专注于图形学和计算机动画技术在手术仿真和认知智能相关中的应用和研究。研究重心和兴趣包括认知智能，计算机动画，空间计算，虚拟仿真，深度学习，CG制作流程技术等。担任多个国际高水平会议（如ACMSiggraph/IEEEVR/CGI/CASA/WWW等）和SCI期刊（如TVC/CAVW/C&G/SPL/AIR等）的审稿人。ACM/IEEE/MICCAI/中国计算机学会/ 中国图象图形学学会/中国人工智能学会/国际动画协会/中国电影电视技术学会专业会员，CCF计算机辅助设计与图形学专委会执行委员。
