Ming Xu received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in telecommunications from Xi’an Jiaotong University (C9 member), China, and the Ph.D degree in electronic and electrical engineering from University of Birmingham, U.K.. He had worked with Xi’an Jiaotong University, City, University of London, Kingston University and University of Cambridge. He is an honorary professor and PhD supervisor in University of Liverpool. He was the PI of the General Programme of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Jiangsu Province Science and Technolgy Programme. He received the Overseas Research Students (ORS) Award from Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals, U.K. in 1996-1999, a second-class Science and Technology Award from Ministry of Education of P. R. China in 1997, and an IET Premium Award from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in 2012.
