Mehdi Foumani (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor at the School of Intelligent Business and Finance. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Operations Management from Monash University, and M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tehran. His research focuses on Sustainable Supply Chains, Smart & Lean Manufacturing, Logistics, Optimizationand Simulation. Dr. Foumani has worked at Monash University, the University of Melbourne, and the University of Sydney to gain experience both in academia and industry. He has worked as a research fellow in Monash University and the University of Melbourne, mainly in the area of energy management, sustainable transport and logistics. As a industry project lead in the University of Sydney, he has received an industry research grant to explore how heuristic procedures can be used for a Pit-to-Port integration and creation of a digital twin concept.
