Dr Liyan Hou joined International Business School Suzhou at XJTLU in 2022. She obtained her PhD degree from the University of Birmingham in the UK, and she is also the Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Liyan used to be an accountant working in an accountancy firm at London with experience in Personal Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT and Auditing. Then she started her academic career as a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of Nottingham, and taught a variety of modules such as financial accounting, management accounting, financial management and auditing. With extensive teaching experience in different universities in the UK, Liyan was awarded the Fellow of Higher Education Academy (UK) in 2018. Currently Liyan is working as Senior Teaching Fellow in Accounting at IBSS.
