Dr. Song earned his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain (2015-2018). He previously obtained a M.Sc. in Polymer Science from the University of Loughborough, U.K. (2006-2007) and a B.Sc. in Applied Physics from Northeastern University, China (2002-2006). Before joining XJTLU, he worked as a postdoctor in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia (2018-2021) and research fellow in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2022-2023).

Research interests

Spintronics, focusing on the transport phenomenon and spin orbit torque property in the magnetic material for memory devices. 2D Non-Trivial Materials, including topological insulators, Weyl semimetal etc.
