Jue Qiu is a practicing architect and Assistant Professor of Practice. He worked in the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (the Netherlands and Hong Kong), and he was a Design Director at Soochow University Architecture Urban Planning Design Institute Co., Ltd before joining XJTLU. He has balanced his practice and teaching since the very beginning of his career. Prior to joining XJTLU on a full-time basis, he was a part-time tutor at Soochow University and XJTLU for many years. His design projects go along with research often. His interest lies especially in public buildings, mix-use architecture, green architecture etc. It has been applied in projects of different types across scales from urban design to small-scale architecture. Most relevant are the National Art Museum of China competition (Beijing, 2011), Essence Financial Building (Shenzhen, 2013), Prince Plaza (Shenzhen, 2013), Taiyuan Industrial Heritage Masterplan (Shaanxi, 2014), New Gusu Hospital (Suzhou, 2014) and Suzhou University Dushu Lake Campus Gymnasium and Student Center (Suzhou 2020).
