Jiyu Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media and Communication, Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Jiyu Zhang received his doctoral degree in Film and Literary Studies from Leiden University, the Netherlands. His fields of interest broadly encompass literature, film, and media, with a focus on Chinese cinema. Prior to joining XJTLU in 2023, Jiyu Zhang has worked as a journalist and an editor at news outlets for years.

Currently Jiyu Zhang has no plans for PhD supervision.
