Personal profile

Dr. Hao Jianli is a Senior Associate Professor of Civil Engineering, Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University and a Stanford Top 2% Cited Scholar. She earned her PhD from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2003 and has since established a strong record of academic leadership in sustainable construction research. Her expertise encompasses construction waste management, life cycle assessment, zero-carbon buildings, embodied energy efficiency modelling, prefabricated and lean construction. Dr. Hao is an active member of the Chinese Research Institute of Construction Management (CRIOCM) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). She also holds several editorial roles, including Associate Editor for Journal of Cleaner Production, Cleaner Waste Systems. She is also on the editorial board for Internation Journal of Construction Management, Journal of Green Buildings, and Detritus. 

Research interests

Construction and demolition waste management, zero carbon buildings, embodied building energy efficiency modelling, life cycle assessment for infrastructures and buildings, prefabricated construction projects, lean construction.
