Dr. Huixin Zhong is an Assistant Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Bath, where she trained at the Centre for Doctoral Training in Accountable, Responsible, and Transparent AI. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary AI ethics and governance, human-AI collective decision-making, and machine psychology, with publications in top AI conferences such as AAAI. She also serves on the AAAI program committee and reviews for leading journals. Beyond academia, Dr. Zhong actively contributes to global and local AI governance practices. She has been involved with high-level initiatives, including the United Nations' Global Digital Compact and the ‘Global AI Risk Impulse’ organized by the UN Secretary-General's High-Level Advisory Body on AI. She also chaired the global AI governance session at the UN Science Summit. Reflecting her expertise in this area, her project on AI risk assessment models was awarded the Jiangsu Social Science Boutique Project-Special Fund for Science and Technology Ethics, where it was designated as a key project.
