Dr. Hui Wang (Wanda) is Associate Professor in Translation Studies at the Department of Translation and Interpreting. She obtained her PhD from City University of Hong Kong and worked in the same university as Postdoctoral Fellow. Prior to joining XJTLU, she taught in the Department of Translation, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has published extensively in various renowned journals, e.g. Meta (AHCI Journal), the Interpreter and Translator Trainer (SSCI and AHCI Journal), Chinese Translator’s journal (CSSCI/CORE Journal) and Foreign Language Teaching and Research (CSSCI/CORE journal, ranking first in Chinas foreign language journals). Her research interests include discourse/text analysis for translation purposes, volunteer translation, media translation, as well as translator training. She particularly welcomes PhD applications that focus on volunteer translation and the application of AI in translation.
