Dr. Huaxin Wanglu is currently an Assistant Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. She earned her doctorate on a full scholarship from Ramon Llull University (Barcelona, Spain) in 2023 and visited Heidelberg University and Peking University as part of her PhD. Her major publications, in which she was a first and/or corresponding author, have appeared in leading economics and multidisciplinary journals, such as Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization (JEBO), Journal of Development Studies, and Kyklos (solo). During her doctoral studies, Dr. Wanglu had worked for two Horizon Europe projects (Grant ID: 101086139; 838534) and co-organized the 1st International Workshop on the Chinese Development Model in Barcelona. In 2022, she was awarded the Catalan research mobility grant (approx. 33,000 Yuan) by the Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa d’Amics del País. As part of her academic service, she has served as a reviewer for economics, finance, and medical journals, including JEBO, Review of Development Economics (ABS 2, ABDC A), the Journal of the Economics of Ageing (ABS 2, ABDC B), Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance (ABS 1, ABDC A), and BMJ Global Health (CAS JCR Q1), among others.
